On yours you said you got power through the fuse box. It must go through the switch or it wont let the truck shut off correct? So picture your fuse box in between the switch and the ballist. The more I put on this picture the unclearer it gets.

This is a diagram for starter. You don't need to use the I post on starter unless 1 your Key switch is spring loaded type. Those don't send power to the fuse box in the "start" position. Or 2 you have a ballist in line to the the coil. The ballist is used so points last longer. The "I" post is used in both cases so while the starter was cranking it would get full 12 volt power through starter "I" post up to coil. There are all kinds of way to wire these things up but this should be close to what you already have and need for it to start and run. Hope this helps RAY
